Winner: Mom2Boys (just like me! 100th comment)I had a chance to go to a blogger briefing about Green Works with Josh Dorfman, The Lazy Environmentalist. Josh’s new TV show, The Lazy Environmentalist, will soon be premiering on the Sundance Channel and his second book, The Lazy Environmentalist on a Budget: Save Money. Save Time. Save the Planet., released earlier this month, features innovative, cost effective ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
In return I was sent Green Works dish detergent to try. I was impressed. I thought because it was green that it wouldn't wash as well or make many bubbles, but I was wrong. I want you to try it, so the 100th comment gets it. Just leave a GREEN comment below...comment as many times as you like (make sure to comment green)! Your first comment has to be about something from the Green Works line. Click here for ideas.

<font color="green">I just got my glass cleaner and all purpose cleaner yesterday! I have been using this line for over a year and I love it! It's not a bad price either. =)</font>
I am not sure if my font will be green or not. Was it supposed to be, or just the content of the comment was to be green related!? I tried the font tags.....
I really need to be outside covering up all of my plants, or they won't be "green" tomorrow, we are under yet another Freeze warning tonight. Gardening is green. those tomatoes will be yummy
Ok, I am going to go and Tweet this... Be back in a minute.. Did you know that you can start being "green" by using reusable store bags.. This will help our earth.
I tweeted twice inviting people to come on over to the live giveaway..I hope they show up.
Another way to be "green" is to turn your air conditioner thermostat up.. especially when you are not at home.
A good "green" idea is to go natural. Use either natural products to clean or use "green" products that are natural like the Green Works.
Here, I'll help it get going...lol
lol - comments about going green - not necessary to tweet color...you are too funny
I will be back to the LIve giveaway in a bit, I am going to go and cover up my "green' plants so they will be aLive tomorrow morning.. Especially the garden plants. Mr. Frost stay away. Those veggies will be a way to be "Green"

<h1><img src="http://www.greenworkscleaners.com/img/products/h1_gw.gif" border="0" alt="natural cleaning wipes"/></h1>
Go green - ditch papertowels and use cloth towels / rags.
Go green - use cloth diapers.
Good for going green use cloth diapers instead of diposable .
I like the Green Works Natural Glass Cleaner.
Go green - unplug appliances when not in use.
Replace your light bulbs for energy efficent ones.
I like the Green Works Natural bathroom cleaner.
Walking instead of driving is better for you and the earth.
Recycling your soda cans is a great idea.
The "no running on empty. load the dishwasher after every meal, but only run it when its full." tip is one of my tips we ALWAYS follow. even on a well it uses SO much power! Thanks!
I use baby cloths for wipes. I wash them and reuse. Saves money too.
I love that they define what "natural" means. I think that term is so overused. But they say, "When we created Green Works™ natural cleaners, we defined natural using three core principles. The ingredients must come from renewable resources, be biodegradable and free of petrochemicals? When we created Green Works™ natural cleaners, we defined natural using three core principles. The ingredients must come from renewable resources, be biodegradable and free of petrochemicals."
Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
I love the smell of the Green works cleaners. They smell like natural citrus.
We LOVE to reuse things. For example hub and baby made me a vase of beautiful wildflowers for mothers day. they made a pretty happy mothers day image on the computer and printed it on sticker paper and then attached it to an old mayo jar (washed in the dishwasher first of course. lol)
My favorite color is green... and it has been even before it became a buzz word :)
I am trying more and more ways to go "Green'. Gardening, changed the light bulbs, reusable grocery bags..
I also loved the song, "It's not easy being Green" as a child... it's the first song that made me cry :( Kind of seems to fit with this! :)
I am a recycling fool.. Good way to make me mad is to put a can in my garbage... Goodness, can't you see my recylcing bin??
Recycling is green
I have some great cloth snack bags that are reusable. You can purchase them at Plum creek online.
lol jen! green has always been my favorite color too. since i was a baby!
I own a million green things. color and environment friendly. lol
Composting is another great way to be 'green"
I love the HotSacks reusable grocery bags, they even have a reusable produce bag.. How green is that?
Reusable produce bags are wonderful, I like anything reusable.
In an effort to be more green i'm in the process of building a large garden. We love veggies!
My stepdaughter recycles boyfriends... does that count? :-p
hey two of my comments dissapeared or something. poo. lisa your site hates me. lol
Another thing i LOVE to recycle is the baby food jars. they make awesome little containers for bits for scrapbooking, sewing, etc. keep little brads, paper clips, and all kinds of little bits organized. without spending a fortune on organizers
My daycare kiddos are great at recycling. They love when we go for walks to find recyclables, I pick them up with gloves and we have a bag we put them in.. They know not to touch.. we don't want their germs.
A great way to be "green" is to reduce.. Try to reduce your trash.. Don't put it in the trash if it can be reused or recycled or reclaimed.
Oh hey Erin! Yeah, my in-laws asked me to start saving baby food jars when my girls were babies, just for that very purpose. Of course, they didn't know how much food we went through :-p They finally had to tell me to stop! :-p
Oh..I also have two awesome stainless steal water bottles. I use them everyday. No more plastic water bottles in this house! :)
I try to always unplug things that are not in use. This uses less power and cuts down on the electric bill.
LOL jen! your stepdaughter recycling boyfriends is funny.
instead of using baby wipes we use wash rags alot. saves on trash. we also use cloth diapers as burp cloths and as changing pads.
we also use handtowels instead of papertowels in the kitchen and dining room. each of us has our own 7 towels. use one a day and toss it in the wash.
Go green - walk or bike to work!
Making you own baby food is good for going green too.
Go green - load coupons on your store card rather than printing them on paper.
AAAHHHHH more of my comments disapeared. poo. i give up. it hates me.
apparently your blog is recycling my comments. LOL
Go green - Do all of your errands in one trip (or as few trips as possible.)
Go green - try to get your office to go paperless!
I plan to try composting soon. I know it good for the earth.
Try using things you have in your home to clean with. Vinegar is a great window cleaner.. Its green...
Jen - Oh I would LOVE if we could have MORE jars!
We make a lot of our own baby food. so we dont get as many as i want! :( lol
I love to reuse jars and stuff. We organize all the nails and scews and such in the shop with them too.
We recycle everything especially newspapers, magazines, Milk jugs.
Try not to use bottled water, Buy a filter system.. you will save money and save the earth
Get you bank statements and such online to reduce paper waste.
auntrene - we use vinegar too! and newspaper works good to get windows streak free too!
Fresh veggies grown in your garden or in plants are a great healthy snack and they are "green"
We already use the Green works All-purpose cleaner around the kitchen. It does a great job on the stove!
Turn the Lights off when leaving a room, Unplug those unused phone chargers....
Go green - pay bills online - don't use checks.
recycle all paper, glass, and plastics. :)
Pay bills online.. Less mail.. Have your name put on the Do Not send me Junk Bill list.. can't remember the exact name of the site.. but they have one.
Go green - opt out of as much junk mail as possible - save the trees!
Go green - plant a tree!
My girls love to draw... to try and cut down on the amount of paper they use, I bought them "window markers" so they can draw on our sliding glass doors to their heart's content :-p
I freecycle alot to help reduce waste in the lanfills.
The kiddos love playing with some of the things from the recyclable bin.. The Paper Towel rolls are perfect for the cars to be parked in.. They build pyramids of parking garages.
We try to unplug appliances and other stuff like phone chargers when we arent using them to save electricity. We also use totes for groceries
Erin, Thanks for the hint. I had forgotten about using newspaper to help keep my windows clean.
Go green - buy energy efficient appliances.
We try to run all of our errands in one day and in a circle.. No back tracking. Anything we can do by walking we do.. Bank, post office are close enough so is the library.
Oh definitely pay bills online... that's one of those things that's easier AND just happens to be green :-)
Paying bills online line is great too. anything you can do to reduce paper waste.
Try using more things that are biodegradable! :)
Using the LIbrary is green. You are reusing books. Also they have movies, CD's even paintings you can borrow at our local library.
Using these saves money.
I always unplug things when they aren't in use.
Composting is a great way to go green, especially when you use your compost in your garden full of veggies.
Does eating more organic foods qualify for going green?
Well, with me, my husband, two teenage stepkids and twin 4-year olds, I can use all the dish detergent I can get (or even just soap in general... heck just give me a hose!) :-p
If you purchased plants for your flower beds or gardens this year a lot of the pots were either biodegradeable or you could recycle them. Also the tags in the pots can be recycled.
Having a hybrid car when be great for going green. I just don't have the green to buy one! :)
Baking Soda is another good way to clean Green. I use it to freshen carpets, it is great for getting cooked on food off the top of my stove, Make a paste of water and baking soda, nice and clean.
In addition to the library, read books online! Sure, it's great to have some books in print (like children's books), but there are lots that you'd only read once anyway! And, there's more and more becoming available... in fact, a lot of stuff, you can't find anywhere else!
I would love to learn more about composting. I would love to try it!
I feel the same way TwinHappy Jen. I could use a huge bucket a hose and a bottle of soap somedays.. The kiddos dirty lots of dishes. I could use it to wash the kids who are dirty after helping me in the garden.
I try to combine as many errands into one car trip as possible. We also reuse plastic grocery bags as lunch bags and also in smaller garbage pails around the house
I will say that I like the Clorox green works spray cleaners better than Nature's source cleaners.
Our town has curbside recycling. Makes recycling a breeze. They don't even care if we sort our papers, plastics, glass, cardboard.. etc... They do it for you..
I reuse Orange Juice bottles to make Iced Tea in, They are the perfect size for Sun TEa. The Simply Orange bottles
Speaking of dishes I need have to do them at least twice a day. i would love this new Clorox green works brand. ;)
I wish there was a way that Milk didn't come in those big jugs, Thank goodness they are recyclable.
Oh I wish we had curbside recycling here! They make it such a pain here... the recycling center is open like 2 hours a week it seems (and it seems to be a different 2 hours every week, because everytime I go there, it's closed :-p)
Oh..I also tried the natural elements laundry detergent. It was great!
I think that's the one thing that a lot of people need to keep in mind... people are inherently lazy. It's just human nature to find the easiest way to do things :) If you can appeal to that laziness, though, in a way that makes things better for everyone, well, that's a win-win! :)
Wow Twin HappyJen that would be inconvenient. If we have recyclables that we didn't put out our recycling center has a drive thru that you can take them too. You have to sort them but its open 24 hours a day for the non pay items.. Like plastics and cardboard.. We are lucky
I know that about the milk jugs. I recycle alot of those!
I have to count, but I think this makes 100!
I am wondering how close to 100 we are???? I am supposed to be on the Treadmill... hahaha putting that off for as long as possible.
We have been riding our bikes whenever we can do an errand close by, it is good exercise and its green
I also like to recycle crayons for the kids and make crayon scribblers for them.
I need to recycle crayons.. That's a fantastic idea.. My kiddos would love that.... hmmm maybe this week that will be the craft for the day.
I think we are getting close. I have a date with wiifit..haha!
Do we have a 'green" winner, not that I am rushing to that treadmill.. But this weight isn't leaving with some treadmill time.
I can't wait for fresh veggies from the garden.. Yummy, and green
I need one of those wii fits.. I have heard lots of good things about them.. is it true.. do they really help you get fit?
It's great to recycle crayons and fun for the kids. Just think you would be throwing them away otherwise.
I also like to have yard sales. It helps keep things from going in the trash.
Yes and we have some broken ones and just old ones that they really prefer not to use anymore. That really is a good idea to recycle them into something new that the kiddos will love.. The kiddos are my daycare kids.
I love going to Yard Sales, went this weekend and got my kiddos the Thomas The train Train table.. I figure I am helping them Reuse it.. so it is Green...
Yard sales are wonderful, save money and keeps the stuff out of the dump.

Yes please.
I like that Green Works products are environmentally friendly. I am one to use basic cleaning - ammonia, vinegar, etc. I think this could be good stuff.
