Disney on Ice: Coming Soon To A Location Near You

As many of you know my family recently had the opportunity to see Disney on Ice in Atlanta, thanks to Mom Central. At 4 pm the day of the show my 16 year old son called and asked if he could stay after school with his friends, but I told him no. Needless to say he was pretty bummed out. However on our way home after the show I asked everyone what they thought and he was the first one to pipe in, "I think I liked it more than anyone, even James (his 5 y/o brother)." Yep, my older son sang his brains out through the show because he was raised a Disney kid. Here is a picture of his favorite character of the night:

I brought my two boys (please excuse my strange teen's facial expression) and my niece and nephew. We took tons of pictures and video. We did not buy any souvenirs though - the prices were a bit steep. A program with a paper party horn was $15 and a snow cone in a souvenir cup was $15. The cotton candy with a Flounder hat was $10 - the most reasonably priced item, in my opinion. I'm a bit cheap when it comes to things like that...
They featured a clip from Disney's new movie The Princess and the Frog before the show started. It looked cute.
My favorite part of the evening? Goofy Santa!


If you get a chance to check out Disney on Ice in your area, I highly encourage it. It was an awesome show and well worth the price of a ticket. I hope Disney will include our family again on upcoming shows/events - they are always so much fun.

I got this box delivered from FedEx and inside was the most incredible thing I have ever seen! Apparently there is a company out there who has found my weakness....

Well, Unilever sent me samples of some of their products and I wanted to tell you a bit about them. First, I received some Pond's Clean Sweep make-up removing towelettes. I've been using them every day and have to say, they remove waterproof eye makeup without the slightest irritation. I love the new look of the Q-tip Vanity Packs, if you haven't seen them you should really check them out. I also received Dove shampoo and condition in the new scent go Fresh Therapy Energize line. I love the energizing smell when I have to get in the shower every morning at 6 am, it's motivating. Finally, the Vaseline I received I have been using on my cracked heels every night before bed and it has been a lifesaver.

I recently got to try the Green Works line of Natural Laundry Detergent and Stain Remover and I wanted to share my experience with you. First, I have been making changes in my life to become more environmentally friendly. I have switched over to reusable grocery bags and I have been trying to find products that are natural. It is a conscious effort and it makes me feel good to share this with my family.

About a year ago I tried an all-natural laundry detergent (I won't name names) because I thought the chemicals and things added to normal detergents were not good for my youngest son's skin. AJ Wright Invades Atlanta Review & $50 GC Giveaway

Prior to my laptop being destroyed in August I had the chance to go to AJ Wright with a group of incredible bloggers. I wanted to share my experience with you, but wasn't able to access my photos until just recently. Here is the scoop:

Some incredible bloggers such as The Divine Miss Mommy, Jolly Mom, and Secret Agent Mama were all there. I was thrilled to meet some fellow bloggers in person - they are as awesome in real as they are online.
The store was pretty awesome. It can be compared to TJ Maxx or Marshall's with an urban feel. I found the most incredible selections of bedding, candles, shoes, housewares, and clothing. Did I mention they had a large plus size collection? They even had formal wear with a price point that is very affordable. One designer piece that retailed over $125 was less than $30. We were each given $100 to shop - I got polo shirts for my husband, Nike athletic wear for my son, candles, and clothes for work. Jolly Mom bought the store (see picture) and Stacie from the Divine Miss Mommy wowed! over the socks and underwear for her children. I think one of the most impressive things was how the store was so organized and neat. It didn't overwhelm you when you walked in the door.

Our Three (3) Valid Tips for Getting Dinner Ready in a Flash

When asked: "With our Busy Schedules, What Are Your 3 Valid Tips for Getting Dinner Ready in a Flash?" by TwitterMom's newest Samsung Contest the answer was quite simple.

1.) Prep over the weekend. On Sunday I plan my menu for the week and do all my grocery shopping. I chop all my veggies, etc. that I need through out the week and I marinate any meats that require marinating.
2.) Before changing out of your clothes, preheat the oven or grill. If you are going to be boiling, start the water before you start anything else.
3.) Always make enough for leftovers any time you get the chance and freeze them for a future quick meal.

Giving Back: Mom of 2 Boys, Wife of 1 and ConAgra Foods Donates $500 to Atlanta Community Food Bank

I recently had the chance to work on a project with ConAgra Foods - you might know them from labels such as Hunts, Banquet, Marie Callender's, Chef Boyardee, and Orville Redenbacher. Because giving back to the community is important to both ConAgra Foods and Mom of 2 Boys, Wife of 1 a donation to the Atlanta Community Food Bank of $500 was given in my name. I was also given a bunch of coupons for free products (like those pictured below) and was thrilled to be able to donate them all to local flood victims this past month.

Green Cleaning Tool of the Future: Activeion Pro Review

I thought I would share with you a new, futuristic way of cleaning. It is simple, safe, and sustainable. It's called Activeion Pro. I'm not totally sure how it works, but I know that it is the most environmentally safe cleaning solution I have ever used. I also know that when I run out of cleaning solution I have no worries because I have a lot more and it is free...it's water! Yep, the water is electrically charged with the Activeion Pro and it sanitizes by eliminating 99.9% of harmful bacteria.

My most favorite thing about the product is that it works incredibly well. I used it to clean my microwave by simply spraying the water on and wiping it out with paper towels. It was truly amazing. Check out my video on how easy it was to clean my stove...



The pros:
1. You never have to buy cleaning solutions again.
2. It holds a charge forever. I charged mine when I got it 3 months ago and I have not had to charge it since, even though I use it everyday.
3. It is durable and should last for a long time.
4. It is green and safe for the environment.
5. It is safe around pets and children and can be sprayed directly on skin with no harmful effects.

The cons:
1. The price point is high at $299, but if you take in consideration the money you save from having to buy cleaning products it is worth it.
2. A tad heavier than a normal cleaning solution bottle.

I've been using Dove products ever since I was a little girl. I remember my grandmother always smelled like the Dove bar she always had in her claw-foot tub and even today the smell reminds me of her. With my dry skin it is important that I use products that moisturize and Dove's new line, the NutriumMoisture line, ensures that I stay that way.

Many of us, as the holidays are approaching, are trying to lose weight. Sega released a new game for Wii featuring Daisy Fuentes entitled Daisy Fuentes Pilates on August 4th. I had the chance to review the game and although I am not very graceful or athletic I still enjoyed the workout.

Daisy Fuentes became famous via MTV and is known as a Pilates enthusiast. The game is set at a beautiful, relaxing spa where you chose your workout location.There are 10 individual exercises you can chose from such as bicycle, mermaid, and toe tap. You can also customize your workout routine either for a beginner, intermediate, or advanced Pilates users. Additionally, you can track and record your results as you incorporate this game into your routine. This interactive game gives real time feedback from Daisy herself either in English or Spanish. The software runs with the Wii remote and optional Balance Board from Wii Fit.
Daisy Fuentes suggested retail price is $29.95, but you can find it on Amazon.com for as low as $17.
