Misikko.com's Hana Elite Professional Flat Iron Review (and Giveaway) + $25 Charity Donation

Misikko.com gave me the opportunity to review the Hana Elite (that sells for $229.99) from their professional flat irons line. I also received some shine shield to use in conjunction with the flat iron. Before I go much further I have to tell you prior to owning this the flat iron I had was bought at Wal-Mart. It was my very first flat iron and I hated it. Not only did it yank pieces of my hair out, but it took forever to get my already straight hair to look straighter. I had no idea there was a difference between ceramic flat irons and those metal plate flat irons. The one I owned was made out of some sort of brass plate.

I thought since I had no real experience with a flat iron that I had to call in the cavalry, my niece Jessica. Although her hair is beautiful, she still straightens everyday. She has owned lots of different straighteners and was able to give me some great insight about the Hana Elite. First off, she really thought the temperature gauge was very important and especially liked the location. Because it is inside of the arms it makes it harder to change the settings accidentally. She also liked how she only had to make one pass to get the full effect of the iron. She said with good irons it should only take one pass over. Finally, she thought the Hana Elite in conjunction with the Shine Shield made her hair much shinier and silkier than any other iron she has ever used.

I agree. Not only does the Hana Elite heat up quickly, but it does a great job at straightening too!
