Create Memories with Canvas Press is as Easy as 1-2-3 (GIVEAWAY)

These comments were combines with comments on original post at Life with Lisa and Jessica Benton picked our winner: Lynn Ann Matthews.
Canvas Press is an online company that brings your pictures to life. I especially love the Canvas Wall Collages.  Their work is amazing and they guarantee it.  I couldn't say it any better than they have..."The treasure that arrives to your door is an investment that will amaze you and possibly re-inspire your entire d├ęcor. That is the powerful effect of art, especially art that you helped to create."

My husband and I went to Savannah last winter and took a bunch of pictures at the beach. I especially loved this picture of him holding a seashell in his hand. The tiny grains of sand on the shell are amazing to me and every time I look at this picture it makes me feel relaxed and calm. In my house, that is something that is really important. When approached by CanvasPress.com to do a review I knew immediately it would be this digital picture that I would want converted into a 16 x 20 canvas print for my wall.

The online guide on how to order was easy as pie to figure out. Using their 5-step click and go ordering process took about 5 minutes. You simply pick the gallery wrap size, the canvas size, the border style, enhancements (if you want them), the photo and you’re done. I chose the 1.5” gallery wrap, 16 x 20 canvas size, mirrored border, no enhancements and uploaded my Savannah picture. The canvas arrived the next week.

Unfortunately my picture of the canvas doesn’t do it justice. It is absolutely perfect. The color is identical to my digital print and so is the quality of the picture. The canvas is high quality and tightly stretched. This is now one of my most prized possessions and I’m thinking of doing another one for my husband for Father’s Day of a picture of him and our son.

Do you have a picture you would like put on canvas to display? Well, CanvasPress.com has offered to give one of our readers a 16 x 20 of their own.  They are also offering a coupon code for 15% off.
Code: PHOTO15
Expires: 6-15-2010

GIVEAWAY: One lucky winners will receive the 16 x 20 canvas print similar to the one I designed (approx. $140 value). Mandatory Entry: Visit Canvas Press and come back here and tell me what picture you would use for your canvas (and don't forget to include your contact information).

It is mandatory to leave your email address in your first comment. US entries only. This listing is compliments of Canvas Press and they provided me with an awesome Canvas.

I'm Taking Sexy Back with Lingerie.com

It’s hard to find plus-size lingerie for women online. You might find a site or two, but the selection is small and the quality is usually lacking. A friend of mine pointed out lingerie.com carries a wide selection for plus-size women regardless if you are looking for something classy, sexy, fun, or frisky.

I normally sleep in a t-shirt and pajama pants. My lucky husband has seen this same night time ritual for 10 years now. I believe he about had a heart attack when I came out of the bathroom one night wearing the Charmeuse & Sheer Net Chemise. Although it fit well and looked great, it isn’t something I would wear long term to walk around the house in, but it isn’t really made for that. However, it definitely fulfilled its 5 minute obligation.

The Product:
I found their site very easy to navigate; however, it took me two weeks to narrow down my selection. The bummer? The set I really liked was out of stock in my size. I was able to find a couple others and finally chose the Charmeuse & Sheer Net Chemise.

The Charmeuse & Sheer Net Chemise was true to size and actually looked much nicer than the picture online. It is quality lingerie. You can definitely get use out of this piece without worrying about it falling apart. The stitching is tight and the beading is secure. I washed it on cold (in a garment bag) water wash and it held up without a problem. The beading was intact, as well as the netting. I didn’t dry it in the dryer though and I wouldn’t recommend doing that because it is delicate lingerie after all.

My Opinion:
Not something I would wear around the house for the evening, but definitely something I will pull out on special occasions to keep my husband on his toes. Quality is good and it should definitely last.  It is true to size.  Lingerie.com is an easy to use/navigate site with a large selection (no pun intended).

Disclosure:  The pictures in this post are not of me.  I looked even better...lol. I did, however, receive that same item in return for my honest review.

Picking Out Something to Review from CSN Stores - Three Guesses

I am going to feature a review for some awesome products within the next few weeks, but first I want to tell you know what a difficult time I had picking out the items to review.  I'm always looking for new decorative items for my house and I found these cute bathroom vanities that I really liked.  Unfortunately we do not own our current home and I would hate leaving it behind, so I chose something else.  It took me almost 3 weeks to finally decide...

Can you guess what I choose?

Every once in a while I need a Hottie - How about you?

Being a woman is a wonderful thing, but one week a month I would trade in all my estrogen for some testosterone.  However, I recently got to review something that made my monthly pain much more tolerable and I wanted to share that with you.  It's the Hottie.

The Hottie is like a hot water bottle without the water.  Every month I would say to myself that I need a hot water bottle and every month I would forget to buy one - now I'm glad I didn't because this is so much easier.  The Hottie is filled with some sort of beads that release the most wonderful smelling aroma when warmed in the microwave for 30 seconds.  It's a moist heat too and tolerable directly on the skin (as long as you don't nuke it too much).

The price? $20 - and well worth it!

Aroma home makes tons of different products and if their quality is as good as the Hottie I would be comfortable recommending anything from their store.  I found a couple other things I want to try such as the cooling eye pillows and the fuzzy friends slippers.

If you want to be pampered, please check out Aroma Home.

Out of curiosity - what do you do to help with pain?

Disclosure: I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I did, however, receive comfort from the Hottie I received in order to make an informed review.

P&G eStore is LIVE! Purchase Your Favorite Brands

It's LIVE! Proctor & Gamble opened their new eStore at midnight.  This is every mom's dream come true.  You can now shop from the comforts of home for your favorite brands at the eStore.

Today I received this awesome box of goodies from the eStore and I didn't have to get out of my PJs.  One of my favorite features (I got a sneak peek) was the coupons and 10% savings on select items.  I ordered a ton of things for $20 with only $5 flat shipping.

The eStore was developed with the intention of being the premier online retail site to shop online for household, beauty and grooming products. They enlisted 5,000 shoppers to guide the design and development of the “ideal” on-line shopping site.

Online shoppers helped to shape the features included as part of the launch site and get the right product mix on the shelf.
• Shopper input affected site changes and enhancements including navigation, as well as promotions and coupons featured on the site.
• In addition, the site offers a flat rate of $5 shipping regardless of quantity or size.

On the top of their page you can  find the link to provide your feedback.  As they grow they want to base new services and changes on your suggestions because they value your opinion.  Isn't that a nice change?

Check out the site:

I would love to offer you a chance to try out the eStore for FREE!
So, let's do a LIVE GIVEAWAY!

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
Go check out the new eStore, find your favorite product and let me know what it is, be sure to leave a link of the item in your comment WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (either twitter or email).  That is the mandatory entry.

Once you have done that it would be great if you could tweet about this LIVE GIVEAWAY using the hashtag #eStore.  You can enter as many times as you like as long as each comment is a different product or feature or something directly related to the eStore.

Congratulations:
@PotamusPrefers

Linda @ My Trendy Tikes

Do you want to know what I am giving away?  FIVE random winners will receive a $20 promotional code for free product at the eStore + FREE shipping!  That is $125 worth of goodness!

Disclaimer:  I received a promotional code to shop the eStore and to let you know what I personally think about it.  I think (just incase I forgot to tell you) that this is an awesome alternative to getting out of my PJs and going to the store!

Life with Lisa the Unveil of a New Blog

I love telling you about new things I try and learn about when I do reviews.  I try to find things that I think will interest you all because I think reviews are a very valuable resource in today's economy.  It is important to know something about a product or service before you spend your families money; therefore I try to be fair in my assessments and share my experiences with you on Mom of 2 Boys, Wife of 1 with total honesty.  However, I'm getting lost.  Not confused, but lost.  The posts about my family, myself, my life are getting lost here. That is why I want to invite you all to "Life with Lisa" a new blog about....my life and other things.

You never know what you will find, but it probably won't be a review or a giveaway - it will be me, sharing myself, with you.

If you want to check it out you can visit http://www.lifewithlisa.com and follow me on GFC or by RSS (email or feed).  I hope you will come learn more about me, as a person, and share more about you too.  I love learning about the readers I have and I feel like I will be able to really connect with you there.

Top 10 Creative and Affordable Vacation Ideas

For families on a budget here are some creative and affordable vacation ideas I would like to share:

1. Go camping! If you don't own a tent, borrow one. It is much cheaper than paying for a hotel and it fosters "family time".

2. When traveling long distances book your airline reservations early and look at some discount sites such as Expedia and Priceline or join a larger airlines email list and get private offers on low-cost airfare.

3. Invite another family to share the expense - it cuts everything in half and gives your children other kids to play with.

4. Travel during the week when there isn't such a demand - if you are driving it cuts down on traffic (travel off-hours, not rush hour) and if you are flying it avoids the business demand.

5. Search blogs for reviews, giveaways, and coupon codes for different vacation destinations. I've actually won mini-vacations from entering small contests and/or giveaways.

6. If you do reviews don't be afraid to ask for a complimentary stay in exchange for your review.
7. When traveling with small children via car be sure to pack baby wipes, snack foods, water, small games, and books. This will keep them busy and cut down on the time it takes to stop to wash up because of spill (baby wipes) or get a drink or snack.

8. Plan a week of day trips. If traveling it out of the question set up a schedule to explore something close by each day of the week. Let the kids each choose their #1 thing to do - swimming, bike trails, local park, etc. Make it a fun, family event and add something special such as a picnic lunch.

9. If you are staying in a hotel, try to secure a room with a small refrigerator. Buy lunch meats, milk, cereal, bread and save a fortune in eating out. The extra cost of the room upgrade is often much less than the cost of eating out.

10. Go visit relatives (if you dare).

Mother's Day Gift Guide: EatSmart Kitchen Scale for the Healthy Mom Giveaway CLOSED

CONGRATS TYLERPANTS! Since a good portion of moms are watching their figures these days I thought I would share this great gift idea.  The EatSmart Precision Pro kitchen scale comes in a variety of colors to match your kitchen.  I choose the black/chrome.

Do you know what the correct amount of protein you should have in a serving? The answer is 3 oz.  Many people measure this as the size of a deck of cards, but with the scale you can actually get a more accurate weight within +/- 1 gram!

The scale weights up to 11 lbs. (not that I could think of anything in my kitchen I would need to weight that is 11 lbs) or 5 kg.  It also has a great tare feature that I use all the time and the auto turnoff keeps me from having to change the battery too often.

You can currently find the EatSmart Precision Pro kitchen scale at Amazon for $25. It comes in a variety of colors from white, silver, black/chrome, red, and white/chrome.

If your wife or mom is a baker, cook, or just watching her girly figure - this is the gift for her!

GIVEAWAY: One lucky winner will receive the EatSmart kitchen scale like the one pictured above. Mandatory Entry: Visit the EatSmart's site and tell me what other Kitchen Products you would like to try. Leave a comment below with your contact information.

How to Change Your Oil: MotorOilMatters.com & Jiffy Lube Giveaway

M.O.M = Motor Oil Matters
Congrats Shelly Cox Did you know the type of motor oil you put in your car matters?  Well, it does. If you want to make your car last you have to change the oil.  If you aren't using the right oil for your vehicle it can be particularly harmful.  MotorOilMatters.com can help you determine the right oil for your car. Personally, I used to buy the cheapest oil I could find; but after my engine blew (7 times in 1 year!) I finally wised up and did some research.  Last month I bought a new car and now I am diligent about oil maintenance.

In a perfect world my husband would do vehicle maintenance, but I don't live in a perfect world.  That, however, is another post.  I was given the opportunity to bring my car to Jiffy Lube recently for an oil change and it was quick, painless, and relatively inexpensive.  (To find a Jiffy Lube near you check out the Jiffy Lube Locator.)The guys there were very nice and didn't try to up-sell me a lot of unnecessary maintenance.  I did some research before going on the MotorOilMatters.com site and knew exactly the right questions to ask.  Think about it, a vehicle is one of the most expensive investments we make.  Shouldn't we be informed about how to take care of it?

On MotorOilMatters.com there are fun games and great video, as well as answers to tons of information on the right oil for you car and the importance of good oil. You can also check out AskPatty.com for more motor vehicle guidance for women.

GIVEAWAY: One lucky winners will receive a giftcard from Jiffy Lube to get their oil changed ($35 value). Mandatory Entry: Visit the MotorOilMatters.com and tell me what oil is right for your vehicle. Leave a comment below with your contact information.
